Cookies Recipe
Cookies are one of the most loved baked treats across the world because they are simple, buttery, and delicious. Whether served with tea, coffee, or as a dessert snack, cookies are always a favourite. The secret to perfect bakery-style cookies is not just baking technique, but also the smooth sweetness and finishing touch provided by Icing sugar.
Crait Icing Sugar is specially designed for baking, frosting, and dessert decoration. It blends smoothly into cookie dough and also gives a soft melt-in-mouth texture when used in finishing or dusting. In this recipe, we will make delicious homemade cookies using Crait Icing Sugar for a soft, rich, and bakery-style result.

Ingredients for Cookies
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1/3 cup Icing sugar
- 1 tbsp Crait Icing Sugar (for extra softness)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 tbsp milk (if needed)
- Chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
Step-by-Step Method
1. Cream Butter & Sugar
In a mixing bowl, add softened butter and Icing sugar. Beat well until the mixture becomes light, fluffy, and creamy. This step is important for soft cookies.
2. Add Dry Ingredients
Add flour and baking powder gradually. Mix gently to form a soft dough. Avoid over-mixing to keep cookies light and tender.
3. Add Flavor
Add vanilla essence and mix well. If the dough feels dry, add 1–2 tbsp milk to adjust consistency.
4. Crait Softness Trick
Add 1 tbsp Crait Icing Sugar into the dough and mix lightly. This gives cookies a softer texture and bakery-style melt-in-mouth finish.
5. Shape Cookies
Make small round balls and flatten them slightly. Place chocolate chips or nuts on top for decoration.
6. Bake Cookies
Preheat oven at 180°C and bake cookies for 12–15 minutes or until light golden brown.
7. Cool & Serve
Let cookies cool completely. You can dust them with extra Crait icing sugar for a beautiful bakery-style finish.
