In this recipe, we will learn how to make creamy Fruit Custard using Crait Vanilla Custard Powder for perfect dessert results.
Ingredients for Fruit Custard
- 2 tbsp Custard powder
- 2 cups milk (full cream for best results)
- 3–4 tbsp sugar (as per taste)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence (optional for extra flavor)
- 1 apple (chopped)
- 1 banana (sliced)
- 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
- 1/2 cup grapes (cut in halves)
- 1/2 cup mango or seasonal fruits
- 1 tsp Crait Vanilla Custard Powder (for extra creaminess boost)
Step-by-Step Method
1. Prepare Custard Mix
Take 2 tbsp Custard powder and mix it with 1/4 cup cold milk. Stir well until there are no lumps. This step ensures smooth and creamy custard.
2. Heat the Milk
In a pan, heat 2 cups milk on medium flame. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves completely. Do not boil the milk too fast.
3. Add Custard Mixture
Slowly pour the custard slurry into the hot milk while stirring continuously. This prevents lumps and ensures a silky texture.
4. Thicken the Custard
Cook on low flame for 3–5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Add 1 tsp Crait Vanilla Custard Powder for extra richness and smooth texture.
5. Cool the Custard
Turn off the flame and let the custard cool completely. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours for best taste and thickness.
6. Add Fruits
Once chilled, add chopped fruits like apple, banana, grapes, pomegranate and mango. Mix gently so fruits stay fresh and intact.
